From the chalet you have a magnificent view on the 'Fiescherlücke' and the lower Grindelwald glacier (picture) as well as the mountains Wetterhorn, Mettenberg and the famous Eiger.
The view is great at every weather, be it at sunset, on beginning foehn (a strong wind blowing over the alps) when the clouds are being pressed through the 'Lücke' (which means 'gap'). Or if you become witness of an avalanche from a distance. Mid of january the sun is shining through 'Martin's Hole' in mount Eiger during two days - a one-of-a-kind spectacle!
Near Chalet Firn you find lovely hiking paths and in winter, the ski slope is ending right behind our house.
In the village you find manifold possibilities for shopping, sightseeing and sports experiences.
From the railway station you can make excursions, for instance to the Jungfraujoch (top of Europe, via kleine Scheidegg) or to Interlaken and the lakes of Thun and Brienz.
